About Bryce
I began my journey in customer service as a technician at the Apple Genius Bar, where I honed my troubleshooting and customer service skills. From there, I moved into technical operations and integration support for a healthcare all-in-one practice growth solution, where I expanded my expertise by learning PHP and working with IDEs for integration troubleshooting. I then transitioned to a Customer Success Manager and Product Deployment role at a tech startup focused on providing AI customer support solutions for e-commerce brands. In these positions, I gained experience with product deployment, Javascript, and consulting on using AI in customer service.
After a brief gap in work, I was looking for something new. I was excited to become a Technical Success Manager at SpruceID because the technology and privacy surrounding digital identity seemed challenging and important for our future.
Can you tell us about your role at SpruceID?
At SpruceID, I handle the day-to-day between Spruce and the California DMV, manage the priorities and expectations of SpruceID's deliverables, provide technical troubleshooting for any arising issues, and facilitate.
What do you find most rewarding about your job?
I enjoy being part of a process that improves and contributes features to the California DMV Wallet mobile application that benefits the digital identity community. It is fun to be on the edge of new tech and new tech that has yet to be fully standardized.
What has been the most memorable moment for you at SpruceID so far?
The opportunity to travel to Brazil, meet the team, explore new food/culture, and mix local drinks. I also love to surf, and had the opportunity to surf in Brazil as well!
How do you define success in your role, and how do you measure it?
Success in my role is achieved by positively managing expectations and delivering on what is asked for and promised. Success also means supporting my team in any way I can. Measuring success can be hard to define at a startup due to the constantly changing landscape, so I measure it by consistently delivering a high-quality product.
What is your favorite part about working at SpruceID?
I find the team incredibly smart, fun, and supportive!
Fun Facts
What do you enjoy doing in your free time? I enjoy being outdoors, but to stay active, surfing and bouldering are my go-tos year-round. All my other free time is spent with my family and friends, playing overcompetitive card/board games, and cooking.
If you could be any tree, what tree would you be and why? I would choose to be a Redwood tree. I grew up surrounded by them and have always loved how large they get, their ability to grow together in angel rings as a support system, and their fire-resistant qualities.
