We’re pleased to announce that Spruce has joined the OpenWallet Foundation as a founding member.
The OpenWallet Foundation is a new open-source project hosted by the Linux Foundation Europe. This collaborative effort will develop best practices for open-source digital wallet technology that supports interoperability for multi-purposes, such as making payments, proving identity, and storing validated credentials, including employment, education, eligibility for benefits, and entitlements—under the control of the user as to how they can be used or shared. We look forward to furthering our collaborations with industry leaders, institutions, and global standards bodies to develop open-source software which facilitates a more privacy-centric and user-controlled future.
Spruce is committed to enabling a future where individuals have more control over their identity and data in digital interactions, and is excited to embark on this journey with the OpenWallet Foundation.
