As part of our research for Sign-In with Ethereum, we needed to compare signing methods to decide which would be best to leverage for the specification.

Spruce has added support for Celo in its core identity infrastructure that enables Celo accounts and verifiers to verify phone number types and issue verifiable credentials to lower the risk of Sybil attacks. Additionally, the work has laid the foundation for users to control their identity on Celo.

Sign-In with Ethereum (EIP-4361) seeks create a specification that includes both elements of signing and identity to enable users to control their digital identity with their Ethereum account and ENS profile instead of relying on a traditional intermediary.

Spruce has added Polygon support in its identity infrastructure that enables Polygon developers to have standard and interoperable ways to issue, verify, and store trusted information to allow any Polygon account to control their identity.

We are creating a collaborative environment for our work on Sign-in With Ethereum, and encourage community participation and feedback as we create the specification and reference implementation.
